Rare 1919 Antique Salesman Sample THE REVOLVING COUNTER CABINET by A.W. Funke:
$695.00
Rare Salesman Sample Revolving Counter Cabinet. Brass tag reads: THE REVOLVING COUNTER CABINET Pat. Oct. 15,1918 Mar. 18, 1919. MF\'D by A.W. FUNKE San Francisco, Cal. Measures approximately 14\" across x 7\" tall. There are a total of 10 glass sections. Revolves smoothly on a wood pedestal with tiny ball bearings. I believe that this would have been used as a counter display in a candy store. Since each section is too small to hold much candy, the full size counter cabinet would have been much larger. The top is made in 2 pieces with hinges. Each side will open to expose 5 sections. This rare cabinet appears to be completely original including the finish. The finish does show wear, but I think that adds to the charm. Please email with any questions.
