This canteen, cup and cover set would make a nice addition to any military collection as the canteenis very rare, no-seam, steel canteen with the early flat-top design and no manufacturers markingsanywhere on the canteen except the lid, see pictures.
In addition, the set comes with a canteen cup in very nice condition considering its age, dated 1918 made byLF&C and a rare canteen cover made by F.M. Hoyt Shoe Company hence the markings F.M.H.S. Co., see the pictures, dated July 1918. They made very few canteen covers for the army, so this is also a rare item.
