Olivetti Valentine typewriter.Its serial number, 5741492, dates it to 1971.
The Valentine was designed by Ettore Sottsass, a founding member of the Memphis Group.Very good cosmetic condition! The typewriter looks great. The only flaws to report are scuffs from being taken in and out of its case, a ding from folding back the return lever and dust. Beautiful overall.
The typewriter works well. Carriage advances and returns well. Nice ding at the end of each line. No sticking typebars. Vertical adjustment is slightly off but not worth worrying about. Just needs a new ribbon and ready to write.
This Olivetti types 10 characters per inch (Pica).
Please note the fracture and missing rubber strap to one side of the case.
