If you have been looking for an outstanding piece of antique French Indienne fabric for your project, this is it! It was sourced directly from France.I love receiving packages from Europe because it usually means something fabulous and in this case it exceeded my expectations. The colors are fabulous and the botanical bird print is exceptional - tops my list now for favorite items. This is a very lightweight, fine weave cotton.
If you're doing a textile study, or looking to create an out-of-this world junk journal or other sewing project (perhaps frame it!), I think you will be pleased. This piece measures approximately 23x33.
This fabric piece dates from the 1950's and came from a grand home in the South of France and I'm guessing it was possibly drapery fabric, however it is very lightweight. Print is a very charming French Indienne toile panel featuring birds and botanicals.
