This is a set of six dental pluggers with beautiful, octagonal ebony handles. Each tool is 6\" long and 1/2\" at the thickest part of the handle. The ebony handle is 3.25\" long, and the wood seamlessly transitions into the nickel-plated ferrule. This is a very comfortable design to work with and was revolutionary at the time. When held, these tools also have a remarkable balance, which is another desirable feature and engineering accomplishment.
Along the neck of each tool is a stamp that reads \"Dr. E. DeTrey\'s Patent #9787 P.A. Kolliker and Co.\". Using this as a guide, I\'ve determined that these tools were made in London circa 1895.
These six tools are more than a century old, and they appear almost new. As a testament to great design and high-quality manufacturing, these would be difficult to surpass.
I hope that these become a proud addition to a collection or a supplement to an existing set.
