Special Edition 16" Sonja 14/100 signed by Helen Kish For Sale

This is Sonja. She is a special edition doll from the 19th Century Skaters Series. She is 14/100 in this special edition series, dated 1999. She is handpainted and signed by Helen Kish.The Skaters series was originally released in 1998. As Kish was unable to get the materials for all of the sets of clothing planned, the edition number was reduced. The following year..1999, Kish rereleased them in a special edition of only 100 dolls..and only available from a few select dealers. This edition was called the Weekend at Nana's editon..and it included several other outfits along with the skating ensembles.. The painting on the dolls in this series were enhanced by HK, and she signed and numbered each of them. This particularSonja is one of that special edition series, though she does not come with the auxiliary outfits. Just LOOK at the coloring of her face! She is signed by Helen Kish as a SPECIAL and numbered 14/100 on her back.Sonja is dressed in a period style long black and gray pinstriped dress with white collar. . . .over which she wears a wonderful cranberry colored corduroy coat complete with attached capelet. Black boots, a flannel long john like onesie, fur cap and of course, her rustic ice skates complete herskating ensemble.
