This is a rare and magnificent instrument in exceptional condition - as a standalone piano, as a player piano and as an elegant piece of furniture in its beautiful mahogany cabinet.This Steinway & Sons piano has been owned by the same family since it was created in New York in 1910 (SN# 141310). Maintenance and refurbishment work were apparently done on the piano and player system in the mid 1960\'s, but I have no details about what was done. It was tuned and serviced four years ago and a few sticking keys were corrected. The technician who did the work deemed the piano to be in excellent condition and appraised the instrument at $15,000.The renowned Steinway Vertegrand sounding board is larger than the sounding boards of most standard grand pianos - providing a large and resonant voice. If you want the sound of a grand piano without the space, this is your piano.The piano plays beautifully, and the classic and historic internal Aeolian player system is in excellent condition and operates perfectly.
