Offering this nice example ofSwedish mid-century studio pottery faience by Stig Lindberg. In yellow with awonderful abstract patterned motif that he used in different variations fromtime to time. Approximately 4”h x 3” w and in good vintage condition with theexception of two small chips near the base of the piece. Hard to see withoutturning it over but it is slightly visible, otherwise in nice shape. I acquiredthis and several other pieces of Scandinavian ceramic and design pieces from acollector in La Plata, Argentina (confusing, I know). A very nice little piece.

This StigLindberg piece comes from a studio pottery collection that includes HowardKottler, Frans Wildenhain, Laura Andreson, Betty Feves and many others, allitems I have collected in my travels over the years. Recent health issues havecompelled me to find new homes for much of this art that has given me so muchjoy. Some of the most important pieces will be left to AMOCA and otherinstitutions but many others will be listed here in the near future along withother items I am passing along.
