SUPERB ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LARGE PARTNERS WRITING OFFICE DESK RAREDescription

First of all i would just like to start by saying that my expertise knowledge on furniture is very limited but i do know quite a bit so i will try and describe the piece to the best of my ability and if anyone has any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me. Viewing can easily be arranged for any of my itemsThis is an extremely rare antique victorian mahogany partners writing office desk with a superb patination and colour to the wood which is acquired through ageThe original oak drawers benefits from their original brass handles with hand cut dove tails joining the fronts to the backs each one with their original brass locks but no key sadly but can easily be gotI am unsure if the red leather to the top is original or weather it has been replaced at some point but it is in very good condition without any damageThe patina to the mahogany is absolutely fabulous and second to none and the construction of the desk is spot on and very solid with a base unit to each side which has 3 drawers either side of it and the top piece which sits onto the 2 side pieces so the desk comes in 3 pieces. the top also has three drawers either side of it giving you 9 drawers either side of the deskThis is a very special piece of furniture and surely one not to be missed and is original with only a very few minor professional restorations carried out throughout its life which all adds to its characterThe condition of the piece is great for age with only minimal surface marks no sign of woodworm past or present with superb proportionsThe piece is all original and dates to c1830Dimensions: The table measures 31\" high x 59\" wide x 47\" deep (inches)The leg room measures 24\" to the under side of the drawer x 26.5\" wideObviously collection is preferred but we can deliver mainlaind england and wales for £150, scotland and highlands please contact us for a quote
