Less then 50 SIGNED copies of this print in the \'Chine-colle\' method and in this large format were produced.The only copies I found were copies in various libraries around the world.
Paper size:25 ¾” wide x 18” tall (LargeFolio size)
Plate mark size: approx. 10 ½ x 13 7/8 inches
Image size: approx. 6 1/4 x 10 1/16 inches
Condition: Some foxing evident, minor soiling/small imperfections along edges.
Strong plate marks throughout. The Japanese paper which the engraving was printed is stillnicely attached to the base paper.
RARE to find these engravings in ANY condition!!

7 1819 PR Toprev 102523Chine-colléis a technique in printmaking, in which the image is transferred to a surface that is bonded to a heavier support in the printing process. One purpose is to allow the printmaker to print on a much more delicate surface, such as Japanese paper or linen, that pulls finer details off the plate.
