Shuttles traveled back and forth through other yarn weaving cloth for clothing, sails,canvass, Rayon, Nylon, Cotton ect... ..These can be used as candle holder\'s, wall hangers or whatever your mind can imagine, but should be displayed openly as this is a large part of your American history heritage and the people who made America a world power. These are the later fiberglass and steel units still quite rare considering the bobbin is removable just as new..Circa 1940-60, The older units were wood and life expectancy was short as they broke much easier...Shuttles were prone to jump out of their grove and even though designed to go downward would sometimes go wild and injure a worker. Modern technology has redesigned the textile industry and shuttles are much safer now. These older units still make interesting antique home decorations.These are large measures 16\" X 2\" and weigh about 3 -3 1/2 lbs. Usual low starting offer. I refuse to ship outside the USA.
