The empty syringe with blunt needle does not contain any silicone oil. It has to be used to remove old silicone oil from the damper kits as well as remove excess silicone oil from hard to reach parts of the turntables.
Approximately2ml of silicone Oil in each syringe.Unless you are a repair shop, all you need are 2ml and not the whole bigbottle.Therefore, I am selling off my surplus stock in an easy to apply syringe (a needle is not required nor is it convenient for the majority of cases) and in small quantities that an enthusiast would need! Afteryears of use the original fluid has dried up or dust anddirt are causing the fluid to become more frictional. Cleaning and applyingfresh fluid is advisable to see if the problem can be resolved. If you need a blunt needle you must send me a message requesting one free blunt needle. Please note that the blunt needle is not required for the majority of cases and therefore is not be supplied unless specifically requested by the customer!
The following information is per service manual and/or audio forums, the silicone oil is to be used for smooth tonearm movement and refreshing damper kits with wells. This results in an improvement in performance:
500cSt silicone oil for the Jelco damper wells. One blunt needle is supplied to aid in putting oil in the well without spillage! Can also be used as a thinner to lower the viscosity of high viscosity oils. This is supplied in a leur lock syringe so screw the cap back on to stop the oil from drying up. The syringe contains enough oil for multiple applications because only a few drops are required to achieve good results.Plus also buy my empty syringe with a blunt needle as it is recommended for ease in removal of the old oil from the well and any excess new oil from the well. Overfilling the well will result in spillage, so put only a couple of drops at a time!
60000cSt (60K)silicone oilfor the SME FDIV damper wells and SME V tonearms damper wells. This is enough for one single application only and good results are achieved with 1.5ml of silicone oil. Add more or remove according to personal taste. Plus also buy my empty syringe with a blunt needle as it is recommended for ease in removal of the old oil from the well. This is a single use syringe only, so it is supplied in an easy to apply normal syringe but the cap can never be screwed on.
