Two, 1970 VINTAGE Japanese \"PUNCH\" Pictures, \"Cute Kittens\", Artist Consignment For Sale

These are one-of-a-kind, adorable,  beautiful Japanese Vintage \"PUNCH\" style wall pictures. They are 100% hand-made.  They  have never been used. Upon completion by the artist in 1970, the pictures were always boxed and stored.

I had these two beautiful kitten pictures made especially for me by a local Japanese artist in Misawa-shi, Aomori prefecture.  The female artist spent approximately five working days on each picture. Her last step in the finishing process was to brush out the yarn to give each kitten the realistic \"fur\" look. WOW!

She did a spectacular job on the pictures. My original plans to present the completed pictures to a special family were interrupted by the Vietnam War. These pictures have been boxed for approximately 54 years.

This is the first time I have offered these 2 WORKS OF ART for sale. Regardless of how fast they sell, or if they don\'t sell now, the price will only go up. These are vintage works of art that were professionally completed on consignment.

These are rare, and you will never be able to duplicate the picture or the framing process. THESE ARE THE ONLY PUNCH  PICTURES OF THIS TYPE IN EXISTENCE THAT I KNOW OF!

The frames for these pictures were made to order by a specialized frame shop in Misawa City.  The frame is of a wooden material, two-tone silver finish, and would compliment the pictures to any decor.

These pictures, originally designed for a young child\'s room, would be the center of attraction. They are amazing handmade pictures, a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase. 

The artist who made these two spectacular pictures was named Toshsia Kato. I can tell you that her father was  retired and had been the postmaster of a small town named Shimoda-machi.

I recently found these pictures in my storage and realized they need a home. They are too beautiful and valuable for me to keep boxed up, hidden away.

It should be noted that the artist DID NOT sign the pictures. There simply was no thought of her doing it at the time. We had no idea that these pictures would resurface 54 years later to a new world of art.

Each picture is approximately 16 and 1/4 inches wide. They are approximately 19 3/4 inches tall.

Each picture weighs approximately 3.89 pounds.
