US WW2-vintage fixed-bail M1 helmet w/Westinghouse liner.
Helmet is McCord mfr., with a heat lot code of 639C and retains the majority of its original finish.
The stainless steel rim shows the usual paint flaking, and someone has inscribed \"Don\" in the visor area although this does not expose bare metal.
The Westinghouse liner (with insignia eyelet) has been somewhat sloppily repainted at one time; the paint has started to flake around the edges.
