Very interesting 1/6 daguerreotype of an older, well-dressed man, a bit intense looking. The mat is stamped with the number 25 in the upper-left corner.. something I\'ve never seen before. One collector I showed this to suggested that the numbers could have corresponded to a directory staff and/or inmates at a hospital, prison, or mental asylum.Dag appears to be in excellent condition. I lifted the top edge of the preserver and the original seals appear to be intact, unbroken. Housed in a full case with separated, matching covers and paper loss... the pad is damaged as well.Boxed & signed Priority Mail is included.
