The photos tell all, this is in really excellent shape. The paper label under the lid with the inventory list is all there--one small piece is off but present, and that spot shows ANOTHER label underneath!
This was never altered for some other purpose--ALL ORIGINAL!
Leather is in very good original shape. Handle is pliable and strong, lifts the box safely. The leather strap that keeps the hinged latch closed is a bit stiff but pliable enough to function.
All locations for the spare parts are intact and waiting for your spares.
Paint is quite good--original OD Green. Stenciling is very legible on one end and legible on the other--see photos!
This is a really nice box--and nearly 100 YEARS OLD!
