This massive 14 3/4\" long x 2 11/16\" wide push button to release the latch front door/entrance door bronze plate with steel replacement handle Original handle missing.
Based on my research this plate is from 1880 - manufactured by SARGENT - part number 7903VR. See catalog cut. #7903 and VR cast in back side. Considered (art) store door handle hardware (circa mid to late 1800\'s).
Six solid brass wood screws included for attachment.
