This is a beautiful watercolor of Notre Dame by French Artist Janicotte. There is a stone bridge spanning the river, a walkway along the river and some trees in the background as well as the famous river boat, Le Bateau Mouche. There are also the stalls of the Bouquinistes with some shoppers. The setting looks mid century. The painting is predominantly done in muted shades of grey and green with touches of red. It is signed in the lower right hand corner by the artist and titled “Paris Notre Dame et le bateau mouche”. It is professionally framed and matted.
The frame is gold painted wood and measures approximately 16” by 13”.
The visible watercolor measures approximately 12” by 9”. It has not been removed from the frame for inspection.
