Very rare The Bicycle Step Ladder Company 1880\'s Library rail hook with casters For Sale

Up for offer is a Very unique 19th century ( Patent date on placard Dec 1890 & June 1893) Made of solid white oak -library step ladder w/ angled bottom (conformed to floor for showcase cabinets). I found this ladder in the Attic of an old Building in Illinois about 3 hours from Chicago. The house was built in the late 1800\'s. The Ladder retains orig. stained finish originally used as a roll type slide with track. the \"fender type\" wheel housings are most unique, made of cast iron with orig. baked black enamel finish.(see pics) the housings have perforations, making the large wheels visible while gliding from one side to the other. track hooks are black enamel cast iron . manufactured by The Bicycle Stepladder co., once based in chicago, il. ideal for kitchens, pantries, stockrooms, personal libraries, wine cellars, etc. measures 102\" in height. tapers gradually from top to bottom.Taper starts at 32\" from bottom- Ladder is 15\" wide and 32\" wide at the bottom of the ladder with the Casters (Base). The one step has a crack as shown and last pic shows part of (round) was missing. One of the very best 19th century library ladders (available back in the day) maker and quality of hardware/ladder construction.
