Victorian English Burr Wood Brass Edged Writing Slope Bramah London For Sale

You are offerding on a Antique Victorian English Burr Wood and Brass Edging Writing Slope with Brass Inlays and original key made by or for Bramah of London England it is hallmarked Bramah, London on the locking part of the box and it also reads Bramah on the key as seen, I was told it is a larger harder to find box and very collectable, it measures 18\" by 11\" by 7\" and opened up it measures 22\" by 11\". Box has some very light condition issues and is being sold as seen, but for its age it is in very nice old condition and very collectable, it has a few crazing cracks on the lids top and a few small scuffs on the front edge of the lid otherwise all wood is very good , the top lid it is missing one piece of brass inlay and the one piece of the inlay in the front of lid is lifting, the name plate is clear but has some light tarnish from age, box needs a new piece of felt on the bottom as seen, the key and lock work perfect, also the leather writing surface has a few tears on one fold in a few spot but the leather and gold gilding is almost pristine. This writing box was purchased from a collector who bought it from one of the well known sale houses and payed well for it, it is in great condition for its age as seen, and look at the wood what a grain and it is English the inside is like new, if you need to see more picture let me know. and act fast on this one.This item will ship as a 14 to 15 pound package.I ship via U.S. Postal service, either priority mail , retail ground or first class whatever buyer chooses.
