Vintage 1940\'s National TV-7W, 7\" Table Top TV in Mahogany Cabinet For Sale

Rare and highly desirable 1948, Channel 1,National TV-7W 7\" table top TV in mahogany veneer cabinet. This is the earliest and hardest to find chassis/cabinet, serial number prefix 229.Cosmetics of the wood cabinet are good overall but needs a partial refinish. I included 2 National decals, the other letters needed can be ordered at Radio Daze, best to leave the channel numbers as-is since they are fine. Six knobs are original and in good condition, I reproduced the pointed channel selector knob to nearly the same as the original. The simple, metal screen back is missing but is very easy to reproduce, see photo below.

The chassis is all-original and has never been restored making it more valuable to collectors and restorers alike.Notice the small amount of surface rust and age related scratches and patina.One of the speaker cones has a bug hole in it. The two paper stickers under the picture tube and the two National ones at the back - left are color copies from originals. The channel number sticker rear center and warning sticker on the rear of the high voltage cage are original. Be sure to see all the photos below including close-up shots.I did not test any of tubes but did testthe Sylvania 7JP4 picture tube.Sencore CR70 Test: H-K Shorts -Good, G1 Shorts Good, Cutoff - Good, Emission Good, Life Test - Good.There are no scratches on the face. I am selling this TVand all its parts as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, noreturns for any reason.This 70+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use.

TV measures 12 1/2” tall, 21” wide, 18” deep and weighs 39 lb.

Box will measure 18”tall, 26” wide, and 23” deep and weigh 45 lb. when packed.

Emission - Good.Life test is good as well, needle barely moved left for 10 seconds.
