From an estate collection, here is a vintage 1968 Mod Barbie Doll.
She has a \'Talking Barbie\' Head, made in 1968. The bodies that were attached to these heads had a pull string on the neck and a voice box inside the torso. They didn\'t talk for long, and the arms & legs often fell off due to crowding from the voice box. These heads are now usually found on the 1967 TNT bodies. As is this one.
The face is lovely, using the same mold as the TNT Barbies, just with a different hair style. She has nice coloring, blue side-glancing eyes, tan brows, a dark pink slightly open mouth, blushed cheeks, and intact brush eyelashes. Brows just a little light.
Her rooted blonde hair is clean & shiny. It is parted on one side, with bangs and side curls. The side ponytail is tied with 3 reddish silk bows (replaced). The hair looks great.
The TNT body is very clean with nice coloring. Her limbs are tight and her waist twists. Each knee bends & clicks 3 times. There is a little discoloration on her upper back thighs, and some prick marks around the bottom of each leg & on one foot. The other foot is missing (see photos). Her soft white vintage mod boots cover any lower leg or foot issues.
Barbie wears a silky white Mini Dress Marked: Hong Kong. Also comes with a red-violet & orange mod \'Best Buy\' mini dress and her original 2-piece swim suit. Both in good condition.
