This is a great player\'s D 18. Has had the old big rosewood bridgeplate swapped for a smallmaple one so the tone is loud, punchy and wide open after 4 decades of aging the tonewoods. Nice and light and very comfortable to play. Has had a drop-in type bone saddle added like thevintage setup for increased sustain and better tone. Solid instrument with all issues havingbeen attended to--center seam reglued, small b-string crack fixed, headstock crack reglued andis solid and stable, replaced pickguard. Had had other tuners on it at one time but original-type Grover Rotomatics have been reinstalled and extra screw holes filled. Great soundingguitar--lotsa bass for a D 18! Has the unmistakeable Martin chime on the high end. Hasplaywear commensurate with it\'s age but nothing bad--no major dingers, finish is pretty goodall round with a bit of wear on the back of the neck, top has aged into a sweet amber. Niceold D 18 ready to go with excellent tone and playability and just enough playwear to let youknow you are playing a vintage Martin... Includes Good quality SKB hard case with some wearbut functioning perfectly.
