This receiver was made in Japan by Setton Electronics and sold under the Lafayette name in the USA. Very high-quality build and sound in this unit. It is rated at 15 WPC, but punches way above its weight. Very solid, deep and rich sound. Setton branded receivers are highly collectible and very rare. This Lafayette is exactly the same as a Setton unit.
Cosmetically it is in very good condition. There’s a bit of surface discoloration on the top of the metal case. Face plate, glass, and knobs are all in beautiful condition. Stereo indicator light works, FM tuning and signal strength meter works perfectly, flywheel tuning is excellent, and so on. It’s a very well designed layout and looks beautiful. All dial lights are working. Nothing to replace or repair on this unit.
Perfect for an office, bedroom or small apartment. Has been fully tested and can confirm excellent FM tuning, superb phono stage, and overall great sound. Has nice features like dual function FM signal strength/centering meter, detended knobs for not only volume but bass and treble also. It’s sparkles like a diamond with a beautiful aluminum face plate and solid aluminum knobs. Please see pics, you’ll receive exactly what is shown. Great example of a classic “baby“ receiver from the golden era of Stereo. Thanks and enjoy.
