Handsome vintage American made Dobbs brown fedora. Dobbs opened its famous Fifth Avenue store in 1908 and was one of the most popular makers of the iconic straw hats and fedoras of the 30's/40's. My guess is this hat is from the 1940's. Please use your own judgement. It's impeccably made and in great condition. It's a deep brown with a lighter brown ribbon around the brim. This is truly an heirloom hat.
I did not clean the hat. If you get it cleaned it would look like new. It picks up fuzz like felt wool does. It looks like it's different tones of browns but that's not the case. It's just the way my camera adjusted with the bright lights. Please see pictures for condition detail.
