Vintage Flaming Bomb US WWII .30 Cal M1 ammo ammunition box - METAL-NICE SOLID For Sale

I found this ammunition can in at an estate sale. A big company had been hired to sell the whole house including the contents. This Vintage can was sitting in the basement with tons of WW2 collectibles. When I saw this killer ammunition box I knew I just had to have it. I know there is a collector out there who will love this vintage piece. Unfortunately, this can is a little bit rough. The can is rusty and has some major wear. However, the lid fits and opens and closes perfectly. Please look at the pictures carefully before buying as the can in the pictures is the one you will receive. As I am photographing this ammunition box I can feel that this box is solid. Even though the box has some wear, it’s a very nice piece. The blemishes are really only on the surface. The can itself is solid and heavy! Also, one of the sides of the can is actually pretty good. Nice surface. I did not attempt to clean or refinish the can because I do not like to mess with anything Vintage for fear of damaging the original surface. Perhaps a collector out there in the world would be interested in refinishing this can to its original condition. Although in my option the wear and tear on the can adds to its appearance! It definitely shows the age. Looking at this can, you might think it had been to some far away part of the world being dragged by a solider so he can load his weapon.
