Vintage German Hand Carved Horn Henke Schach Staunton Style Chess Set:

This is a fabulously beautiful and classic German Chess set. I believe the pieces are carved from horn but they could be a composite like Bakelite as well. The king measures 3 5/8 inches tall. The board measuring 15 inches is made from Rosewood and maple, the entire set is in fabulous condition, there are no flaws at all to any of the pieces but the board has a small bit of damage on one edge where it appears to have been dropped at some point. The top surface has barely a mark on it, no scratches of substance, an absolute delight to look at and play with. Please look closely at the photographs to make sure it is perfect for you.
