This rain lamp is 20\" tall to the top of the ring. It can hang from the long chain or it can sit since the bottom is flat. It\'s in very good to excellent condition. When you turn the switch on the light turns on and you can hear the motor running for the oil. I don\'t have any oil to test it with but since you can hear the motor it\'s probably in working order. It is sold as is. I spent a good hour detail cleaning it on the outside. Check out all the pictures and feel free to email any questions. It is a heavy piece so shipping won\'t be cheap.
