Vintage Griswold No 8 (704F) Cast Iron Skillet Restored Cond:

This is a classic Griswold No 8 cast ironskillet number 704F. The skillets from this series were manufacturedduring the War years 1939-1944. The cooking surface has light utensilscores and patches of fine etching from corrosion. These are almostundetectable as you glide your fingers over a very smooth surface. Pan does notsit flat on a polished granite surface and is not recommended for use on aceramic stovetop (see photos). No chips, cracks or repairs.
This itemwas stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath andelectrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal of all residue fromprevious use making it safe to use once more. The item is lightly seasoned withone round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hour. This item was photographed in verybright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, itemsmay take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
