Here is a VERY NICE vintage tube radio made by Motorola, model 56RThis radio has had extensive repairs done on it includingNew capacitors
Any tube(s) not testing good were replaced
Bad interior wiring replaced
Out of tolerance resistors replaced
Volume control and tuner cleaned
Full alignment performed for best station pick up
And most importantly it has a GFI cord installed, these vintage radios have a serious electric shock hazard, basically if the plug is plugged in one way with it on touching any metal part on the radio could cause a shock and with the plug reversed with the radio off any metal on the radio could cause a shock, the only way to fully correct this is to install a GFI plug, same is is used on hair dryers.The cabinet is in very good condition, please look at the pictures for conditon as they are part of the description, someone had clipped the upper right corner of the back cover to get the power cord out as can be seen in the picture of the back. Also the cabinet has been polished to a nice luster.I have restored hundreds of vintage radios and this one is in about as nice of condition as I have seen inside and out.Any questions please ask BEFORE purchasingI will package it very well with lots of bubble wrap and ship it standard post, Priority mail is available for an additional cost on either the same day payment is made or the following one if its to late to get it in the mail the same day.
