This medical bag was given by pharmaceutical reps or \"detail man\" as they were known in the 1950\'s & 1960\'s to doctors who were good customers of the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company. The \"detail man\" was allowed to offer perks to doctors in their selling territories; for example, pens, letter openers, Upjohn posters, medical bags, like this one, and even trips. These bags were then used by the doctors for house calls, allowing them to carry medical supplies in a very stylist and compact bag.
This bag was used by an MD; it is in good condition with some wear on the locking strap . Original key is included. Bottom of bag is noted \"Upjohn Top Grain Genuine Cowhide\". All 4 bottoms pegs are attached. Bag measures 15\" long, 7.5\" tall and 6\" wide.
