Vintage Western Morgan Quarter Horse figure -
Dimensions are ; 10 7/8" high , 11 1/8" long , 3 1/8" wide - with a base measurement are 11 7/8" X 5 1/8" X 1 9/16" . Material is bronze toned spelter on a wood base . This horse has been reproduced dozens of times by different merchandisers ever since the mid 1930's . Marketed as 'Trigger' from The Lone Ranger , or as a 'Conquistadors Mount' or as a 'Cowboy Horse' , or one of a hundred other incarnations. It was also made in different sizes , this size being the most common. Boys all over America had this or one just like it in their bedrooms , sometimes paired with a clock. The horse stands , almost with pride , richly toned in a bronze patina with a steel or nickel toned saddle on its back. Classic nostalgia with some cool kitsch. It's actually a genuine piece of Mid-century Americana .
