For sale I have a vintage \"optical\" unlined light-weight jacket and matching skirt suit. Front closing jacket with silver button, skirt has 2 front darts and back zip. Fabric is a shiny polished cotton (silk blend? not certain on this), with a soft fluorescence to all of the fabric patterns. Quality home made suit.
Pattern is layer over layer - large paisley, lotus-like flowers/smaller flowers over a base of small alternating pink and red blocks splattered with dots and circles. Excellent overall vintage condition with just the back seam of skirt, below zipper, stretched with age/use, stitching still solid, 15cm long (photo 12), very, very light pilling around bust and underarms areas commensurate with age. Does not detract, hardly noticeable.
Jacket a 12 and the skirt a larger 14. Reluctant to split this set. Skirt could be altered. For a lady with a medium bust, but with fuller waist/hips. Mannequin is a small size, skirt pegged (not pinned) to show shape.
Quality home-made. The jacket has bust darts, with side panels to give waist definition. The side panel seams have been folded and pressed-closed, to keep the shape. Back seam pressed flat, all over-locked seams and hem.
Measurements are taken flat, jacket buttoned up. Measure something similar that\'s comfy for a good fit.
