For sale is an early salt and pepper work shirt by Sweet-Orr in a nice desirable larger size. I would date it from the 30s, 40s, possibly early 50s. This material feels like soft wool, and I suspect it is a wool/cotton blend. The material is thicker, similar to the Pendleton double soft shirt, where it is thicker and weighted almost like a light jacket.
Words and images don\'t really do the material justice, it\'s really something to feel and hold in person.
The shirt features two front pockets, side seam gussets, and authentic patina. One can see it was worn quite a bit, and it is distressed, mainly around the elbow areas and armpits as is typical of workwear. There is general fading above the waistline of the shirt, as the person most likely wore it tucked in.
