Missing liner for this rare italian helmet. Its unit signed (22° Cavalry Regiment "Catania") and named to a decorated italian officier.During the First World War, the 1st squadron dismounted and became the 731st machine gun company, employed in the Monfalcone sector. The regiment moved to Albania to Malakastra, then to the Semeni valley; on 7 July 1918 he took part in the fighting around Fieri, earning a silver medal for military valor.
