For sale is a York / Coleman Heat Pump Control/Defrost board with number 031-01098-713. This item is new, old stock. As such, the board was tested, successfully, in a York heat pump model E2FB060506A.
Similar looking boards with slightly different numbers were manufactured for York, as well as other heat pump manufacturers. Though the boards generally look the same, different numbers have slight variances. The primary variance involves the defrost cycle parameters. e.g., time between cycles and how long a heat pump is defrosted before returning to normal operations.
The original board number in the York heat pump test unit (model number above) was 031-01098-013. From information gathered, the new 031-01098-713 board is an upgrade to the 031-01098-013. In fact, one of the relays on the new board (from visual inspection) was upgraded from a 3 amp rating to 5 amps. Moreover, a data sheet shows both boards as having compatible defrost cycle times.
