Up for sale is a wonderful antique 19th century gilt bronze Victorian expandable book shelf.It's cast out of thick bronze, is done with a very elaborately reticulated design, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.The hinged bookends feature several griffins andmythologicalcreatures surrounded by ornate design.Each bookend is mounted to three cylindrical rods that are expandable and collapsable.It's in nice antique condition and each end measures 6 3/4 inches wide by 5 3/4 inches tall.At its largest adjustment it measures 23 1/4 inches and at its shortest it measures 12 1/2 inches long.
