Ordered a factory refurbished unit for half the price expecting an issue or two. Installation/wiring was straight forward and the heater brought my 900 sq ft unheated garage from below 40 to a pleasant 67 in about 8 hours. Now it cycles on/off intermittently and maintains it between 65-70 depending on outside ambient. On the third day I went into the garage and smelled something "electrically hot" and noticed that the fan was not turning. Turned the thermostat to Hi with no results, tried cycling the breaker as well, also negative ....turned off power to the heater and took it down from the ceiling. Upon opening it up, I discovered that the rotor armature had a spot where it was dragging or rubbing on the stator or something else inside when I spun it by hand. I forcefully moved the rotor both longitudinally and circumferential several times,(it no longer seemed to rub or hit) and remounted it. Upon re-powering, everything seems OK and it has run for 9 days without issue. I called the factory customer service/warranty line, spoke with a knowledgeable technician and he is sending out a replacement motor which I will install rather than having to endure shipping the unit back for factory service. Made in USA, people answering the warranty phone know their product and are empowered to solve your problem, heats as advertised, easy installation.....it doesn't get any better!!! THANKS KING! I"ll be recommending you and using your products as I need to.Read full review

Works great to heat up my small (12x18) workshop in a hurry. Currently have R38 in the ceiling, no insulation in the walls (for now). I only heat the shop occasionally and only when necessary, so electric heat made the most sense for me. The built-in thermostat works well but is not especially accurate. In other words, ignore the numbers on the dial and adjust by feel or separate thermometer. The separate on/fan/off switch allows me to turn the unit off without touching my ideal thermostat setting. The fan motor is extremely quiet, heavy-duty, and appears to be US-made, which is important to me. Once the shop gets up to temp, I found that it runs between 10-30% of the time depending on outside temperature and wind. At my local electricity rates, this is about $.03 - $0.11/hr.
