Nice amp for its size. Decent power output, very clean, low distortion at high volume, produces very little heat if any, and unlike larger size power amps of similar power output it doesn't require a heavy high current power supply to run the unit. I haven't measured the actual power output, but it's comparable to what most head unit produce but much cleaner and way more efficient. Pros: Compact size, clean high output, Cons: Doesn't have mounting holes, need to drill them.

Inside is a Tripath TA-2020A chip, which cannot exceed 20W (the product claims 90W). It's supplied with a 12V@2A power adapter, so theoretically it cannot even exceed 24W. It's poorly hand soldered, and the inductor (for smoothing the power supply for sudden loads) was replaced with a short wire. A 220uF capacitor was installed on the spot labelled 470uF. It's also designed to shutdown at 12V instead of 13.4V, so you get less sound out of it. I have a Lepy LP-2024A+ and I can tell that the PFA300 muffled the vocals and high frequencies. I got much deeper bass and high clarity from LP-2024A, but I couldn't get the voice/treble to sound as clear on the PFA300. The LP-2024A is cleanly wave soldered and it's easy to modify (replace with better parts) as it has quite a bit taller. At least the screw holes are flushed for LP-2024A while the PFA300 is boderline aligned enough to fit (some screws has to go in at an angle). The PFA300 is made by lazy designers using from junk parts. This unit is going to trash.Read full review

I have this amplifier to drive two Mica B42X book shelf speakers playing music from my laptop, and the sound is superior to any set of external laptop speakers, and believe me I've had many, from Bose to Logitech to Dell. Having real bookshelf speakers always beats external dedicated laptop/PC speakers sound wise, and the price is about the same. Pros Reliable. I've had mine for a few years, and it's still going. Powerful enough to drive two bookshelf size speakers rather well in a room or office. Not expensive. Cons The RCA jacks started to drop the audio after about a year even though when I tried different RCA cords with them. This is why I took off one star. You compensate for this by using just the 3.5 MM audio jack to attach to your laptop or computer. In the picture, note the 3.5 MM jack and cord. A bit too light. The amp will slide around on your desk when you turn the dials, unless you somehow secure it to your desk, put something heavy on top of it like a speaker, or push it between two stable objects. For me, I placed mine between the base of the monitor and one of the speakers so it wouldn't move around. Read full review

I bought this to use with a 100 watt powered sub woofer and a pair of two way speakers I built from a kit from Full Compass. I wanted something small because this is for my garage so I could listen to good High quality sound while working on things in my garage. And not take up a lot of space. This worked perfect. And the sound is full, and clear.

When I got this I hooked it up temporarily to check it out. It worked good, so I unhooked the speakers to run the wires nice and neat. When I did this I noticed one of the springs had popped out from where you connect the speakers and I couldn't find it. I've seen other reviewers with the same problem with Pyle amplifiers. It was my first Pyle product and likely my last.
