We typically grow our own garlic, but the neighbors tree has grown so much that our area gets too much shade to grow garlic. I was excited to find this garlic and did ask if it was a fresh crop from 2019 prior to ordering. Response was that it was packed late May, which really didn’t answer my question. I went ahead and ordered and the quality is okay, but you can see it’s starting to sprout when you cut into it, which indicates to me that this was last years crop. The Best Garlic ever! But that's
A price/value decision is not what you think of when you are not able to get the best close by. Here in So. Fla all you see is Mexico, Spain and Argentina garlic; $4/lb. This Gilroy Heirloom bag is full of large cloves, not tiny ones in the middle adding weight and waste. the flavor is one that you could easily eat raw. This garlic is phenomenal! Who cares what it costs when you have the best!

Honestly....yummy
Garlic is delicious and fresh. I just finished planting a whole 2# bag (bought 2 - 2# bags) and will save the rest to enjoy this winter. Its a soft neck garlic so the favor is more mild than hard neck but it is tasty and easier for my digestion. Very pleased with purchase and will buy again.
