I have been a satisfied Hornady reloading equipment owner for decades so to give a poor review to them for a primer tool redesign hurts. I have had and still have a Hornady hand primer tool that works great but I lost the large primer pin for it so I ordered a new tool . Well the new primer tool has some changes to it and trying to prime 45acp brass found it wont seat the primers deep enough ...primers sticking out is inviting a disaster...tried different shell holders RCBS...HORNADY.. LYMAN..none make any difference the tool design is flawed ...seem there is a quality control issue..I give it 2 stars in expectations that there warranty on products is still good.

VERY uncomfortable! I have to wear a winter glove to use this priming tool. My old Lee Auto-prime tool was far more comfortable. I also don't care for how this unit goes together and how to change out the seats. Again, the old Lee Auto-prime was far easier to use. Though... those aren't made anymore. None the less, I will be ordering the new Lee to try over this one!

Have tried two other handheld priming tools. Hornady tool is the best for simplicity, feel, and reliability.

Okay product if you use the correct shell holder and keep the primer tray clean.
