Ran my cattle through the corral (vaccinations, worming, weaning, etc). Set the scale up on concrete pads in the alleyway. Worked well but I'll be making some changes for next time. I don't/won't be leaving the scale out there so I think I'm going to dig a shallow pit to place it in with concrete on both ends for the sensors to sit on. Also you will need a mat of some type as the metal platform is slippery. I bought a runner, will have to cut to size and will then attach it to the platform in some manner to keep it from moving. Not yet sure how I'll do that. Display does change a fair bit as cattle move on the platform but it's easy enough to get a general weight within 5 or 10 pounds. All in all it did what I needed for registration weights. Seems accurate, weighed 2 10 pound weights, was spot on. I got on it and it lied, said I weighed 181 which is what the scale at the docs office said so I think they are both wrong on my weight. My cattle weights all were what I was expecting. Top weight was 1865 so above that I don't know. I think it will serve my purposes well and hope for long life out of it since I'm not going to leave it outside. Leveling is a breeze, moving it is a bit of a chore but I'll come up with a way to do that.Read full review
