Nice little rework and soldering station. The controls are easy to use and it seems to work really well for the price. The control unit is not overly huge and it does not feel chap. I am disappointed that they did not send the hardware to attach the hot air gun stand to the side of the unit, but I had a few metric screws that fit. I do recommend this product for the price!

The good: It functions. The soldering tip heats up FAST. Hot air works as expected. The construction of the unit is fairly robust with (mostly) big through-hole and panel-mount components, not too much SMD inside. It should be easy to repair or modify if (when) necessary. The bad: This unit was described as ESD safe, explicitly claiming a "Tip ground impedance" of 2ohm. After a test with my multimeter on the 20 megohm range showed no conductivity to the soldering tip (hot air tip was grounded fine), I opened the unit up and discovered that although the wire from the iron tip looks connected, once it gets to the PCB it goes nowhere. !!??? This is easily corrected by adding your own connection to ground (see picture of how I fixed it), but the dishonesty is sad. Also, although it's not really dishonest, the description is not clear about the automatic standby feature for when you put the tool down. That applies ONLY to the hot air tool, not the iron. Aside from that, the control layout is not intuitive. The hot air tool is on the left side, but the left power switch is for the iron instead. !?!?? I corrected this problem myself by reversing the connectors to the switches. (Labels? Who needs correct labels?) And finally, using the hot air tool makes my workbench lights constantly flicker due to simple low frequency (maybe 5-10hz) on/off modulation of the 120V heating element.Read full review

Had read reviews and was not impressed with the cookie cutter praises it got from a multitude of carbon copies. Bought it not holding my breath. Arrived very fast, set up was a breeze, used it to desolder and rework 4 drone motors and control modules. I had zero issues with the desoldering station. It surprised me just how well it worked in spite of it's lower end appearances. Odds and ends included are of various size. For what I use it for it is ample. Cheers.

I was expecting a little better quality unit. I have been using the small cheap pencil soldering irons which, for me, work very well until they don't. I also have a very good heat gun that i am very pleased with. But I thought I would move up to a little better soldering iron and get a heat gun attached and save some space on the bench. NOT.... The soldering iron is the exact pencil soldering iron that i have been buying for $10-15 (low quality) so I really do not expect it to last any longer. And the heat gun is not powerful enough for what i use mine for. So, i dont expect the soldering iron to last more that 3-4 months so after that maybe try to get a better one. My advice, if you are looking for something to use on a regular basis I would try to find something else.

My minor complaints are out weighed by the good points and the price of this station. My only real complaint is the metal caps on the hot air gun; they work fine but they do not twist on good enough. With that said the caps stay on with the fan set to high so over all we are good.
