The chart included is hard to understand. I think there is another value that is needed for the chart to make sense. I just found other information on the internet to help decipher the test kit results. Once I figured that out, the kit was perfect! It's easy to use, and there appears to be plenty of test chemicals to last for the swimming season. My pool is staying clean and clear. I'm only checking it once a week, but it's easier to adjust the chemicals when you know what the existing levels are. All I'm really checking with this kit is the chlorine and pH. Keeping those 2 levels in check, I haven't had to use any algaecide or water clarifier yet this season. I will be buying this kit, again, for next pool season.

I ran out of reagent #1 much faster than reagent # 2 or # 3 even though 5 drops of each is used in each test. You can buy reagent # 1 alone but it is priced at over 50% of the entire kit.........so better off to buy a second kit.

I do pool routes so i go thru the large test kits solutions fast. Due to 5 drops each. This also required 5 drops each in a smaller container. That made no sense. Im figuring they want you to be dependent on the solutions so they run out fast either way. I realized i can use 4 drops and get enough info to correct my pool chemicals. Be careful not to waste your solution. If you do not see a change after the 2nd drop you stop. It means you are low on chlorine. Ph you can tell after swirling as you add drops to stop if it is too red or vert yellow stop. You will learn to save solution this way...

Have used Taylor test kits for some time now (the more involved ones) . I was wanting to replace reagents 1,2, and 4 and came across this little test kit for a better price than the reagents alone. Good buy. And these are the tests a pool owner performs 90% of the time anyway.

I have a larger kit and ran out of the R001 testing agent. Looked at buying just the agent, but this kit was a much better value as I was soon to run out of the others. My previous kit was Taylor. Easy to use and much more accurate than this dipping strips... If you can collect water, use a dropper and match colors, You can use the kit.
