This stroller is definitely worth the money especially for twins. My twins are 14 months old. I was given this stroller from Kolcraft to try out with my twins and asked to give my honest opinions so here goes. Pros: 1. Major Versatility in positions that the kids can sit. For me this is great. The twins love facing each other, but if one starts getting crabby and fighting, then I can always change the seating arrangement. 2. Stylish. I love the look of the stroller. It is a very sleek look. It makes you feel like one of those trendy moms with a bugaboo. 3. Full seat recline. This is huge for me. I have several other tandems and this is the only one that I have found with dual full reclining seats. This is a great design for people with twins especially because both kids are still young enough to sleep while out. 4. Infant car seat friendly. My twins are no longer in infant seats, but if they were this stroller would be ideal. With the purchase of an additional car seat adapter (only 1 is included)this stroller can be transformed into a double snap n go which is a lifesaver for all new twin moms in the beginning. So it essential eliminates the need to buy 2 strollers. This stroller grows with the children. 5. Great Maneuverability. This is my #1 quality. I have yet to find a tandem that pushes and turns well until now. This one is great. That is huge to me. Now sadly we move on to the cons. Cons: 1. HEAVY. This stroller is ridiculously heavy. It takes some real muscle to get it in and out of the car. My twins feel lighter at a combined weight of 40lbs. 2. Folding. Although it is easy to fold, I absolutely hate that you have to take a seat off to fold it down properly. It is not hard, but it is a nuisance. 3. Leg Room when facing is inadequate. 4. Leg rests are not long enough to allow for growth. My twins are only 30" which is short for 14 months and they only have about 2-3 in to the bottom 5. No snack tray/cup holders for the kids. Overall for me the pros outweigh the cons for the money. I actually wish that I had this stroller sooner. I would definitely stuck with it over the other 4 I have. I hope this helps.Read full review
We bought this after our adoption of two little girls, we did our homework before buying, and are thrilled with our purchase. Check out Kolcraft's website kolcraft.com for more of its features. Before we bought this stroller we thought you had to detach the seats this is simply not true. You can which makes it more compact but you don't have to in order to fold it. After comparing other strollers, some were between 32 and 36 lbs. and this one is 40 so yes it does weigh more but has options that other double strollers don't have.
I got the stroller and it is absolutly asome. I wish I had this When my second one was born,. It turns on a dime I can stear it with one hand while caring another child in the other hand or something else the eat look small but are very roomy and comfrtable a little short on the top but my 21/2 year old fits just fine and if he ever falls asleep (like never, once at a flea market) I just put a little pillow or blanket under his head inside of the conopy(wchich is up any way if he's sleeping to keep the light out of his eyes)The conopies are huge and perfect to keep sun and elements out. There is no snack holder but the front bar from the single red one fit in to these so if you really want it than order a replacement from kolcraft web site(look at it on there web site it's the same stroller only single). The handle bars are very comfrtable and the 2cup and tray holder is GOD Send. The bascet is huge I can go shoping and not need a cart every thing and than some fits. Tha wheels are asome the turn so ease and even with my older son in the front still very easy turning. Stage seating that means the big guy can get in and out himself and the little guy still sees every thing perfact because hes high enough to see over the front seat. The seat go in any direction you want it to go when my older one has a fit and wants to kick his little brothe I turn their seats beack to beack and he can;'t get out because of the 5 point seat belts (plus then I cris cross them ) and he's stuck until he's good. I had tu retun mine because of a ebay seller issue ( not the company or the stroller)and I'm waiting on a new one and miss it and drag going out with out it. I have 2 peg perego and Inglesina (which I love for walks ans sight seeing)and my husband refuses to go any were with out the contours ( and he really never cared about strollers). The best I can compare it to is The Twin/quad Inglesina The only difference is the Kolcraft : the seats turn around easier the basket is huge the wheels turn asome, the cup/tray holder .It's comrtable great looking and cheap compared to my other ones.Read full review
These are the top features on the Kolcraft Tandem Stroller: 1. Seats Two - infant bar comes with it, in addition to two seats that can snap into place easily. 2. Easy to Operate. Haven't had problems with pushing weight, but our oldest is only 18 months. 3. Narrow Profile. We have a side-by-side also, but this stroller can be taken into stores and other places that would have aisles. 4. Looks without the High Cost. Went to the zoo and envious looks were everywhere (it stands out as a modern, slick design), but spent only $200. 5. This Stroller Taught My 18 mo. old to say, "Outside." Now she wants to go outside everyday so she can go for a walk in the stoller. 6. All the Versatility. When my kids like each other, they can face each other. When they don't, they sit bus-style (with elevated back seat). No side-by-side, "She's touching me!" with this one. Plus, when they BOTH sleep, they can recline (and other strollers don't do that). Downers, but Not Deal-Killers: 1. No cup holders for kids. 2. Folded up, it still takes up room...common complaint...but, it's less room than TWO strollers! 3. Heavy, (not for me) but for my wife. My pipes can handle lifting this in and out of the van. But, again, lighter than TWO strollers! Really glad we got this. We get the comment, "This is the Cadillac of strollers," all the time. Now, with two kids, this will be the only Cadillac I will own!Read full review
While pregnant with my third baby, I registered for this stroller and received it. I thought it would be perfect since it could hold my infant car seat, seat my 18 mo old and let my 3 yr old walk along while holding on. While it does all these things, the process to do so is a nightmare! The whole stroller is SO heavy I cannot liift it without help. I even have a German made Gesslein Pram that isn't this heavy. Also, to fold this monster you need to take off the front seat first. The seats do snap on/off easily, but it's still time consuming to do so. I am not happy with my stroller... and well, I'd sell it on eBay if the shipping fees wouldn't be over the moon due to the weight. You take a chance when buying this. Yes, it's trendy and cool to look at and will be a head turner, but also a back breaker.Read full review
