I'm reviewing a .243 Winchester die set although this applies to other calibers in the Hornady line. This is a good die set, better than basic. The size-decapping die is quite servicieable although it does not compete with Hornady or Redding bushing type sizers, or with arbor press type sizers such as Wilson. If you're loading for an AR or AK platform, standard sizers are usually not small enough and you'll need a small base set. I recommend Hornady bullet seating dies because of the sliding guide sleeve, this is a step above simpler press-mounted seating dies. I get fewer wrecked cases, better concentricity.

Hornady has a solid winner in this quality precision die for .243 Winchester, but I also own them or .338 Lapua, and .264 Winchester Magnum. High quality sizing and decapping die and precision bullet seating die that aligns the bullet perfecting in the brass with no room for errors, 100% vertical everytime. I find them of the same quality of the Redding, but w/o the cost associated. For those looking for Bench precision dies on a budget, ($36.00) this is your baby.

Work well with instructions from Hornady. I was happy to find it, as things are in shortage still.
