Great price and a great saw. Powerful. Parts available. This is my "only used by me" saw - never lent out to anyone else. I will let them use a $100 Chinese clone if they know what they are doing. I sharpen my chains by hand evry use - and sometimes during the day if we are felling and bucking a lot of hard wood. I firmly beleive that "if you can run your hand across the gullets and not leave meat behind, it isn't sharp". Have been using this saw for over two hyears now and I still love it. I run good fuel - not gas station gas - in it and it starts to growl within five pulls every time when cold. Once it is warmed up, it starts on one or two pulls. . I am pretty arthritic and can't bend over to put a foot in the handle to start it. I drop start it and it starts easily and runs strong. I bought an Echo CS600-P about 6 months ago, but have not even mounted the chain and bar. My Hysqvarna rules. Thank you for a great product at a good price. PaulRead full review

I live in a rural area on a hobby farm. A chainsaw is a must-have for storm damage as well as fence-line and tree maintenance. I realized one day that my chainsaws were old enough to be collectors items, so I started looking at modern saws. I wanted to stay at the semi-professional level and avoid the box-store homeowner grade saws. My research brought me to Husqvarna or Stihl. I stopped into my local Stihl dealer and he didn't have the saw I was interested in (would have to order it and sold at MSRP). The brick & mortar dealer-lock-in with Stihl is a major turn-off to me coupled with the dealer not having a Farm Boss in stock was the deciding factor that pushed me to Husqvarna. I purchased the 460 to replace my Homelite Super XL-- Wow! What a difference! For a similar displacement, the 460 has W-A-Y more power, is nicely balanced, and cuts fast! I'm very impressed so far.Read full review
After the mess we had with the Halloween snow storm here in Mass., I needed a bigger saw than my 18" Husky to get through the big oaks and furs that fell all over my property. This is a great saw -not too heavy, ample power with a good size bar. Compared to other brands, Husky's compression release makes it very easy to start even if the owner is not strong and it feels stable and smooth making it less intimidating so concentration on the job at hand is much improved.
I bought this saw online. I replaced the chain with a new one, filled it up with gas and bar oil and frankly was surprised when it started on like the 3rd pull. I used it today and it cuts through red oak logs close to 24 inches in diameter way way better then my 18 inch 350 and with not having to cut from both sides hoping to meet in the middle. It is a little heavy but the weight make the saw feed through a log almost on it's own. Don't be afraid of going for the 24 inch bar, the balance seems fine to me and I would not want to sacrifice that extra 4 inches of cutting ability and really appreciate the extra 6 inches over my 350.

Husqvarna has continued making great equipment for the professional and the homeowner and this chainsaw proves just that. I was really impressed when cutting a 30" diameter locust tree, cut through with no problem!
