If you want to get an old clock to work BUY THIS !! I used this on a 1882 Waterbury movement that was VERY crusty , it cleaned it beautifully without disassembly ! after cleaning i oiled it and its still ticking , fantastic !!!!

Instructions were good, in general, but definitely need some improvement (e.g. correct orientation of the clock movement when placed in the clock is essential to its chiming on the hour).
