  • And The Ladies of the Club

Author borrowed from Margaret Mitchell but writing was poor and so anti-Democratic Party I was surprised it received such recognition. Racist at times. Just an autobiography of an old woman under the pretense of fiction, most likely her companion, and characters she made up.

  • …And Ladies of the Club

This book is an excellent historical fiction read that reflects the life’s, cultural/societal norms of women from the period after the civil war to more modern times in the mid 1900’s. It is the story of one woman but it encompasses so many life’s in Ohio. Long read but I couldn’t put it down for long and I don’t like to read.
