I was trying to load 50ae and was losing my mind. The bullet would set back just by barely touching it. I actually found it when trying to measure with the calipers. Not much pressure at all and the bullet just fell into the case. WHAT THE!!!!!!!! Thankfully I was just setting up the dies caught it pretty fast. Readjust, test, measure. Couldn’t get the bullet to fit tight. Even with more crimp than I was comfortable with I could still apply moderate pressure with my fingers and set it back. That’s not good. Seams that the sizing die would take the id down to .498. Berry’s bullets are sized exactly to .498. So did some reading. Seams like very few people are having this problem. Someone else recommended hornady dies if your doing 50ae. This die takes the ID down to .496. And with a slight crimp all my problems are solved. Maybe I just got a bad die set from lee? I don’t know. I have many lee die sets and all work flawlessly for me. I’m just a plinker. Hope this helps someone out there having the same problem and pulling their hair out.Read full review
